Job Description
We require the services of a Security / Operations Manager for our Gauteng region to assist the current management with a variety of security related duties and responsibilities.
We require a manager with excellent security protocol knowledge, excellent surveillance and emergency response skills and experience. The ideal candidate must exhibit excellent leadership skills with a strong commitment to security policies and procedures and the implementation of systems, protocols and staff discipline.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service consistently.
- Ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures and security industry regulations.
- Recruit, develop and train security officers.
- Plan, organize and control security operations and various site operations.
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Conduct investigations and audits to ensure compliance of all sites to SLA’s.
- Ensure that all sites are fully covered on each shift as per SLA’s.
- Create site-specific policies, procedures and protocols and ensure that site staff are trained and declared competent.
- Update job descriptions and individual training plans.
- Monitor site and staff performance and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify and resolve problems promptly.
- Co-ordinate staff and events during emergencies and alarms.
- Manage staff discipline and performance.
- Review and analyze non-conformances and incidents and manage the risk.
- Perform regular site risk analyses and update systems and procedures to mitigate the risks.
- Provide regular reporting to Top Management on security and operational issues.
- Provide expert advise to clients and Top Management
- Keep abreast of new technology and new security related services.
- Ensure staff compliance to PSIRA and Firearm regulations.
- Manage and control supervisory and team leaders to ensure sites are performing at optimal level and providing excellent customer service.
