Armed Response Officer – West Coast

Job Description

We are currently looking for an Armed Response Officer to join our team on the West Coast division.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Patrol operational areas.
2. Respond to alarm activations.
3. Assist Security Response Group members and the local community.
4. Assist safety and security agencies.
5. Assist with Flat Watch duties and SAPS as and when required.

REQUIREMENTS
1. PSIRA Grade C.
2. Valid Driver’s License.
3. Clear Criminal Record.
4. 3 years’ experience as an Armed Response Officer.
5. Knowledge of the Firearm Act 2000.
6. Firearm competency for unit standards – 123515,117705 and 119649 – accompanied with a statement of results from the PFTC or SASSETA (depends on the year in which you did your unit standards)
7. First Aid – (not a requirement but advantageous).
8. Fire Fighting (not a requirement but advantageous).
